engine fit
The 302 will require a bellhousing that bolts up to it and I don't believe they make one that will do that, and accept your clutch pedal arrangement.
Unless it's a light duty 3 speed and you can find an adaptor ring to replace the flywheel cover (with the 3 speeds, the "Bell Housing" was 2 pieces - one of which was cast into the trnasmission housing - called the clutch cover. The other half was the flywheel cover and bolted to the engine).
I could be wrong.
If you are going to install a 302, why not put it in with a modern transmission that bolts up to the 302?

Otherwise check with Speedway Motors or Summit. If you don't find it online, make the phone call.
Somebody out there makes what you're looking for - I just can't find it at the moment.
If you're going to use the 302 and C4 you have to cut the factory cross member out and use a add on that connects top the tailshaft of the C4. You will also need to save the part of the cross member that the brake master cylinder is connected to.
I don't believe it is a lazy mans job. It does take planning and a lot of energy.
