Leveling a 6.0

Hey Guys,

I think this is going to be the next mod for me. I had my heart set on the Bilstien kit with new springs but it says that the lift is accomplished by moving the spring perches.

So I guess now I am looking for options. Lets see some pics. too.

I've got the 2" insert that goes above the coil springs on my truck....no pics of that specifically, but there's pics of the truck in my "garage".

I installed a 2.5 level kit FORD F250 F350 LEVELING LIFT KIT 2.5" 2005-2010 : eBay Motors

You can stay with your stock size shocks with this mod. But you will want to check your wheel alignment after the install.

I have a 2in level from rough country, it's just a spacer kit, but it's really easy to install and it looks great.

ok Thanks,

I know someone on here has the Bilstien kit but I cant remeber for the life of me who it is. Hopefully they will see this thread and reply to it. I would really like to do the springs too, but still up in the air.

I was wtching a thread in the SD forum that has lifted trucks, and now my head is spinning...maybe a 4" lift?

i actually have the ICON kit which i think is really similar. another kit i was looking at was the Camburg kit that also uses 5100 shocks.

Do you like the Icon shocks as much as the Bilstiens. I ahve always upgraded to Bilstiens so this will be a change for me.

i can't say i have never had both. my previous diesel truck had Kings. i have read a lot of good things about Bilstiens and that's all i can go by.

i noticed my truck rode better with the leveling kit overall, but we have some really bad freeways in LA and it gives a lot of bounce in some of the bad sections (like where the grooved concrete hits another kind of material and then keeps switching back and forth. i was hoping that the ICON shocks were going to help with that but it really didn't.

Adam where did you buy that kit from. I just went onto the ICON site and that thing is 825.00

That has to be list price, cause the bilstien kit is 385.00
