Choosing dually tires?

Hey guys I had posted on this a while back but my question this time is how to match different tire sizes front and rear without screwing up 4x4.

My dually rears are: 6" wide rims, 7.50R16 tires, and no spacer that I know of.

Fronts are: 8" wide rims, LT285/85R16 tires on Budd wheels.

First of all I don't know why the previous owner had such mis-matched tires, 31" in back and 35" in front! I think they only used 4x4 in the mud.

I'm looking to be able to use 4x4 in the street with just regular slick conditions so the tires need to be very close to the same size, if not the same exact tire front and back.

I would "like" to have a nice wide tire up front since the rim is big but I have to run skinny tires in back so the rears don't rub.

Does this all make sense? Any suggestions on some sizes for the rears and fronts? I'm looking to keep them LT if I can. And I want a good Knobby 4x4 look to them too.
Is there a size that would be good for all 6 positions and would fit 6" and 8" rims and not rub in the back?

lol sorry for so many questions but it's time to buy and I don't know what to buy!
