Well I placed the torso leveling kit keys on this 2000 F-150 Lariat that I am fixing up and wow does it look great! Will allowed for 30' tires but only have 265 75 buckshots on it now and pushed the front end up 2 inches. Got a brush guard on it with KC lights and dual magnaflow and it looks mean but.....
Now the front end is bouncing like a car with hydraulics when I hit a bump haha!! So what should I do?
1) Would adding the bigger tires help?
2) Or should I lower the torso keys some? "I really don't want to do this"
3) Or will I need to get replacement shocks or struts?
I need help because the bounce is kind of embarrassing!!!
all the leveling kit is suppose to do is raise the level of the truck, the shocks stop the bouncing. are your shocks damaged or too short with the lift? are the tires tilted out too much at the top ? With a 2 inch lift, i would think an alignment check would be needed
The shocks are the ones that came on the truck. It leveled it off and lifted it about 2 inches in front. The truck has that tilt to it from the side. The front higher than the rear but not by much.
Maybe the alignment would be my best bet?
I think your right Steve, but it does hold steady when I let go of the
wheel on an even highway it might go to the right just a little.
I think I will get an alignment done, because the torso keys are not
suppose to need new shocks unless you get the lift kit. It has been about 3 years since I had it aligned too.
Its a nice truck very clean only 95,000 miles on it for a 2000 4x4
owned it since I bought it new and it is looking good with all the mods
