Which Ford van steering wheels....

I know you can substitute an E series steering wheel, but up to what year ? An I correct that they look almost identical, but are thicker and more comfortable ? Thanks in advance !!!!

I like to know as well;
Got a early's 80's Van wheel; wont fit my 76 F250 column; the difference is in the cylinder hole.
I agree the larger diameter of the ring is nice.

I figure that NumbersDummy would know the answer. I've seen wheels that look VERY similar to the 79-79's. They just have a thicker/softer rim.

The newer van steering wheels that fit our trucks also have an extra button relating to the cruise control. Resume I think.

If you don`t mind a bit of googlework, the wheel off an Australian `79-82 XD Ford Falcon fits.

These steering wheels did not come with the horn pad/switch, as it was sold separately.

1978 and later: The same steering wheels were used with or w/o Cruise Control. The horn pads were specific to Cruise Control, or w/o it.
