The instrument panel is showing TBC FAULT but the indicator at the paddles is green and all the trailer lights work and the trailer brakes work. This afternoon I drove the truck without the trailer and I still get the TBC FAULT. I can clear the indication by pressing reset but it comes back on when the engine is restarted.

seen, please take your vehicle to an
authorized dealer for diagnosis and
repair.
If all the fuses are OK, the wiring doesn't look mangled and your trailer sockets corroded and full of mud, better take it in and have it looked at.
My truck did the samething. Took dealer 8 trys. They cleaned all connections didn't work . They replaced the trailer hookup didn't work on each visit they replaced something. Also at this point the vehicle surges at low speed and some of the electrics were acting wierd they finally got the ford rep on the phone after I told them I was going to park this truck up theirThey ended up replacing the fuse box. Thanks to Ford I have a new brake controller new wiring, new trailer plug. Oh yea a new master cylinder. All paid for by Ford.
As a follow up, I took the truck to the Ford Dealer in Auburn California and they found a bad transducer on the master cylinder. So now I'm continuing on my trip and all is well with the truck and trailer.
Used to live in Auburn, beautiful area but way too crowded for me now. My brother knows the diesel mechanic at that dealer you went to, really knows his stuff.
