If you have a schrader valve on the fuel rail, you can bleed off the pressure there like letting air out of a tire. The down side of this is you have gas running out. The safer way is to pull the fuel pump fuse and try to start it. It should fire up and die right away. This should relieve the pressure in the line.
Just bought an 06 expedition w/88000 mi. on it and had same problem. Took it back to dealer they said it was the catalytic converters.They changed them then said still had same problem.Then they said the plugs were the problem,changed the plugs and no more problems.good luck

take it back and ask why they didn't check the fuel injectors causing the problem under the recall leaking injector fouled the plug and melted cat
