So i was down at the store yesterday fillin the mug. Went to pull out and there goes a snap and then the steering wheel free spins about a turn over and wedges itsleft there. Turns out the retaining nut broke out of the cap allowing the gear to spin making it go in and out. I managed to drive it the one block home... TG i live in the country and its 4 left turns to home lol. Was just gunna replace the cone and keep living life till i noticed it scared up the inside of the case pretty bad as well. So now, the time is ripe for side hung power steering and crossover. I let ya all know how it goes.
TG you are in the country is right! Imagine that happening on the freeway at 70mph.. !
Sweet though about the new steering setup. Are you going to "photo document" it? I like to do that, but many times I'm just to "into" it to stop, clean up, stage and photo..
Good luck! From what I"ve heard I don't think you will regret it.

Yea, i always get about 7/8ths done and go to channge the radio and notice the camera sittin on a speaker and /facepalm. Going to the JY today to look in the F-350 2wd i snagged my D-70 out of. Im not sure on which steering boxes interchange and which one i specifically need even. But if its one thing i can do its fab so well see how it goes. From what i understand, the steering box that was in my 77 F-150 was the right one, but iirc it didnt look like it would just bolt right up to the frame. Gunna get the RH steering knuckle ordered from ORU today as well hopefully.. $98.00. If ya guys know of a sponsor site that sells em id love to know, even if its a few bucks more.. but cheaper is better, this didnt happen at a very ideal time.
Well today got moved to.. hopefully this today.. Does anyone happen to know what im talking about as far as what steering box is actually the "right" one for this app? 75F-350 if youre out there i could use your input : )
