So my truck is getting close to running so now and I'm wanting to pull off the Super Swampers this truck has seen the last of it's heavy mudding days but I still want a mud tread for some fun now and then already picked out the tires I'm looking at the new Firestone Destination MT's but now what I need to pick is the size of the tire right now I have 35's but I've been thinking about going to 36's this is going to be used as a tow/haul/work truck do you guy's think 36's are a good idea or just stay with the 35's?....also I think I have 3.55 gears (from what I can see on the tab) in the back if I do this do I need 4.10?
there wont be a noticable difference between 35's and 36's. Going huge like to 38-44 you would probaby notice. If the 36's fit, i would get them. I kept mine around the 33 range but all in good time i will raise it up and put some big feet under it.
Sucks....just found out I need to get new rims the rims I have now are 16.5 and I can't find any 16.5 tires (without getting more super swampers!) to fit the rim!
But I got my sizes I'm going with either a 315/75R16 or a 325/80R16.....just need to get some rim prices now...gah never ending.
It's hard to pick a tire....I've seen Firestone destination MT's, Goodyear wrangler MT's, Mastercraft courser MT's, BFG MT's.....just want a nice MT with a load rating of E.
