I have been looking into tear drop trailers. I'm thinking of building one. I see there are some good forums on building these trailers.
My question is has anyone here ever built one or thought of building one. I would like to hear about thoughts & ideas on building one.
Craig
That as a KOOL trailer.
From what I read you can build one for around $2500. No way can you buy one for that.
Many guys are using Harbor Freight 4x8 trailer frames. They have an 1800# capacity frame for $350. It has 12" wheels & tires included. The other option is the 1100# frame then upgrade the axles & wheels & tires to like 14" or 15". They are $299.
Then you build off of that. 3/4" ACX plywood @ $30 ea. 3 pc. of 1/8" Luna board for the top. Then hardware & what ever accessories you want.
