i just spoke to jim(rat49f6) about trying to tig weld the cooler. i have NEVER had any luck with welding a radiator or a cooler. i dont do it everyday though, like a welding shop. i have had them welded at a shop close by for usually about 50-75 bucks depending on the location. im sure there are some shops around the OP that could help him. i dont want to volunteer and ruin it. at least now it is fixable. good luck
on a side note: i dont think anyone in this group would steal ANYTHING. they have been nothing but great guys, friends and helpers to a stranger(me). They never met me and spent a whole day...over 12 hrs helping me work on my truck. they are great guys....
I have welded Aluminum too Chris but it was while working for factories and they had some incredible welding equiptment. Not worth it to have it repaired $$ wise to me.
OP - - you could check car-part.com to see if a yard has one. i have had great luck with this site. usually i have to have the parts shipped, but they are usually cheap.

i think you misunderstood, i meant I stole it out of MY barn for one of MY projects.
ill have to grab one next meet, im way overdue to get a bigger one on my truck especially now that the tranny is fresh.
jb weld would probably work well, but the parts would need to be perfectly clean when applying it.
I did and I do apologize Aaron
