I have a 2006 F250 diesel Lariat with climate controls that are digital. By that i mean the a/c and heat are controlled on the dash and on the steering wheel. The fan seems to be stuck on the high postion. it still goes form hot to cold and air flow direction still works. After looking on threads i came to the conclusion that it was the blower motor resistor and bought the part from the local dealership...
Problem 1: the part was for a manual controller meaning ***** not buttons.
Problem 2: I cannot seem to find the part or location of the part for a digital controller.
Problem 3: The service dept refuses to guide me in the direction of the location.
please help thank you
What you're looking for is called the Blower Motor Speed Controller. I think it should be in the same place that the Blower Motor Resistor would be on a heater with manual controls. Which should be somewhere on the heater core box on the passenger side under the hood. The picture below shows what it looks like and it's general location.
