Where do I get a replacement dash gauge cluster like this? I'd like to eventually replace the one in my '65 F-100. I know Carpenter has the original cluster replacement, but I'd like the one with the tach and oil pressure as well. Thanks.....

This is: C5TZ10838A .. Instrument Cluster Bezel-Plastic / Original applications: 1965/66 F100/250 2WD Custom Cabs.
Carpenter has reproduced it, but...It does not come with holes for the optional Oil & Amp gauges.
Neither did the original bezel, and just like the original, a hole saw has to be used to cut the holes.
Ford only supplied the bezel with Oil/Amp guages on factory assembled trucks, it could not be purchased at the parts counter.
No F100/350 of this vintage came with an in-dash mounted tach. In fact, none did until 1982. What you are seeing is something sold in the aftermarket sector.
There were tach's available as an option. One type clamped on the steering column, the other mounted on top of the dash.
btw: None of these pictured gauges are original, they are all aftermarket.
The horn ring with the Ford oval is a later replacement, the radio isn't correct, neither is that chromed speaker grille.
So, buy the repo from Carpenter, cut holes with hole saw, add my own gauges.
The rings on those gauges look just like the rings behind the speedo lense. Is there a source for the rings or do I have to part them out off another gauge cluster?
Only seen pic's of the aftermarket variety and appeared to be a noticble difference, particularly in the swirl. Seem to recall there was a reproduction CC cluster on ebay not too long ago and the bidder was not aware they are available and if remember correctly he got into a bidding war and ended up paying over $300, guess that means must have been at least 2 buyers who were not aware.
The CC cluster on 65 was damaged, bits and pieces missing so found a decent replacement on ebay for $30 and sent it to have it reconditioned. The face of the instrument cluster, and swirl was discolored and there were a few minor cracks, and/or, checks; same with the gauge bezel/rings. Cost $125 to have it done and very pleased with results.

Six Hundred and Sixty Six Dollars!
Fixed it for ya...
Were the bidders that clueless, or was one shilling the price up?
The ebay ad made it perfectly clear that it was a: R-E-P-R-O-D-U-C-T-I-O-N !!!
btw: The repop does not have the (as original) flat argent paint applied, that was used on the underside of the surrounding lip to prevent glare.
Yes, the original cluster can be reconditioned. Regret I did not take pic's before sending it in. This was a few years ago and not sure he's still in business. Had it done by Quality Mustang, owner Ray Azcue; unfortunately, unable to locate his website; one of the downsides with business who provide services for these classic treasures, some can't afford to stay in business. As noted, this was a few years ago when I called a few places and was not until speaking with Ray I decided on Quality Mustang; usually resistant making recommendations. Later found the company mentioned in Mustang forum. Anyhow, emailed him this a.m. will post if he responds.
There was a thread year or so ago on cluster restoration where members posted links to business they had their's done and pleased with results and cost about all bout same. Unable to locate the thread, not sure of title, may try again later.
Had intsrument cluster done on my 64 GTO by a man who works out of his house, resides in Tx., did an outstanding job, pleased with his workmanship. It was a few yrs. ago, hopefully he's still in business, but may be more expensive, if Quality Mustang does not return my email I will go thru receipts.

ND,
The 1966 F100 dealer brochure appears to be in contradiction with that statement. It looks to be shiny chrome underneath the lip. That is, if I understood correctly your description of the location for the argent paint.
There are two lips. The one of the large main dash and the one around the speedometer. In the pic the large surround is chrome and the one around the speedo is argent. When mine was done it looks like the brochure photo.

When I replaced the bezel on my '65 in 1982 with a new original, I seem to recall it had the argent paint under that lip...but maybe I'm mistaken.
I sold the truck 11/2009 to a fellow in Sweden, so I can't go look at it.
