I have a 2006 F250 diesel Lariat with climate controls that are digital. By that i mean the a/c and heat are controlled on the dash and on the steering wheel. The fan seems to be stuck on the high postion. it still goes form hot to cold and air flow direction still works. After looking on threads i came to the conclusion that it was the blower motor resistor and bought the part from the local dealership...
Problem 1: the part was for a manual controller meaning ***** not buttons.
Problem 2: I cannot seem to find the part or location of the part for a digital controller.
Problem 3: The service dept refuses to guide me in the direction of the location.
please help thank you
It's called the blower motor speed controller, it takes the place of the resistor pack you'd find in the manual system for the automatic one, but it does essentially the same thing. In the F-150 it's located in the same place as the resistor pack would have been, behind the glove box. Eric, I can only assume yours would be about there too, but you should really take this question to the superduty forum for a better answer for your truck.
