So today I took a road trip in my 08 f150...I got 18.5 mpg from northwest ohio to huntsville, al. I think that is pretty good with the cruise set at 75mph. 5.4l 355 gears...
Wow thats good. I went up north over the weekend and I got 16 mpg. I probably could have done better but I had the cruise set at about 75-78 mph. I got an 04 with the 5.4 and 373 gears I think it is. Whatever came with the fx4 package.
just made a trip from the chicago area out to western colorado and back. average mileage was around 16 mpg with the cruise usually set around 75 mph. pushed up to 80+ a few times and saw mileage drop to around 14. Not great but, all things considered, I'm okay with those numbers for a truck this big going that fast.
I put just over 500 miles on my truck last weekend. Almost all highway & got 18.3 mph. Drove the whole way staying just under 75mph. My truck ran great & drives real comfortable. I have a 2004 SuperCab 4x4 5.4L with 3.55 gears
