i just read where it is a water heater spacer block... Elelbrock says i don't need it... what is it's purpose?
Not in your area. In colder climates, it's nice to have since it help fight carb ice. If you run an open air cleaner in the winter, you'll have carb ice problems. You need to run an air cleaner with a hot air diverter to prevent the problem fully.
