I'm wondering if the dealer made a mistake or if the truck didn't come with tie downs in the rear of the bed. I never thought to check before I had the bedliner put in it. It's a 2003 F-350 CC. If they don't come with tie downs can someone direct me to a site to purchase them.
What kind of bedliner did you get, a drop-in or spray-on (Line-X, etc). If you got a drop in, I'm willing to bet they're hidden begind the liner. My truck came with 4, one in each corner, and every other SD I have looked at has them as well.
Ya know what's realy stupid? There aint NO tie downs in the back of my 97 F-350. What good is a pick up without tie downs?
I got 2 lengths of 2" angle iron and drilled about 12 1/2" holes on one side of each, and 4 on the other side. All evenly spaced apart from each other.
The side with 4 holes was mounted to the top of the bed sides with 4 1/2" grade 8 bolts. One on each side of the bed. The side of the angle iron with the 12 holes is on the top facing to the inside of the bed. I now have 24 tie downs in the back of my truck!
Has anyone tried those rails that mount horizontally along the inside lip of bed that have tie down eye bolts that can slide and lock at any point along the bed...
