TexasKid posted something in his thread about a Texas Lariat Edition.Seems to me like Texas Ford Dealers made a bunch of different special editions and then sold them.I don't know the specifics of these special edition trucks,it honestly looks to me like it's just badging.
its coming up this tuesday, just trying to get some info on it
I thought I recognized it.I took a second look at it,and I don't see any difference in it from any other 85-86 F-Series or Bronco.Maybe they added extra options to it than the factory did,but I think it might have been some stunt to boost sales. There's been alot of people asking this same question about their so called SE trucks, but I don't think anybody has ever been able to answer it.The best person to ask would be the one who came up with the idea for that special edition.
here's a pic from the front, was thinking it had a good front clip and nice box but i think its too nice to part out, but has a junk cert. for title so might have to part it, not sure on the title thing here <a href="http://s278.photobucket.com/albums/kk117/randysfords/?action=view¤t=08219450_2X.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i278.photobucket.com/albums/kk117/randysfords/08219450_2X.jpg" border="0" alt="86 SC"></a>

It is a nice truck.I hate when they throw junk titles on vehicles. It'd be awesome if you could get the title worked out on it.But if not,it would be great for parts.
you buy any up your way thru copart? just got a 53 2 dr. customline canadian model in helena mont. couple weeks ago,was fun getting a hauler in the sticks there, lol,i used to work at the yard they had here in GI but when copart bought them out i couldn't buy if i worked there so i quit

You hit the nail on the head. The dealers here promoted them as Cajun Cruisers. I have a set on my truck and have seen a few more in the junkyards. Nothing special about the trucks.
Texas had the "Texas Lariet" and Oklahoma had an "Oklahoma 89er". They were nothing more than just a certain option package, with a dealer added extra emblem. I worked at a dealer, and saw a few of those emblems for installation.
I want to,but you have to have a license, and going through a broker is a big hassle down here.None of the No License Required vehicles are ever what I want.I need to find someone with a license to buy somethin for me.I really want to get a slightly wrecked Ranger or F-Series and fix it up.
just got back from DMV and since the title says junk cert. on it it can't be retitled ever so its just a parts truck, sad but a great one for parts,oh well

Dang that sucks.I wonder why it's even in there. It'll make someone a nice parts truck though.
