Hi, new guy here. I've creeped around the threads for some time now and finally decided to reg hoping someone could help me.
I've got an '86 which needs floor repairs. I was hopind some maybe had photographed a floor repair on the 80-86 or had pics kickin around they could post. I haven't cut too much yet and want to get a better idea of the front cab mounts and the front doors posts.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Beat me to it! I have pics up in my old thread about door posts, supports, floors, cab corners and the rear brace that goes across the cab. My drivers side came out much better than my passenger side as the whole thing was a big learning experience.
I feel your pain, Kyle, 24 Northern Ontario winters have left my '86s floor pretty rotten. That was a wicked job you did, btw, real nice.
It's a kicker 'cause finding a donor floor up here is damn near impossible so I've got bend, pound, shape, cuss and weld everything from scratch.
Maybe I'll post some pics if things go the way I hope the do, otherwise I'll copy adn pasts Kyle's and call them my own.
Your welcome! It took a lot of work. My main reason for getting the donor sections was the fact that I couldn't buy the rear brace brand new, also, it was cheaper for me to get the sections rather than ordering, rocker, front door support, rear support, inner floor pan, outer floor pan, etc etc. Also, you cant buy a new front inner door support either! Good luck on your project!
