Click Click Click, Make it Stop!!

Hope everyone is having a great weekend. So I have had this clicking just start up recently. It does it every now and then, usually when I am driving slower. Clicks about 6 to 7 times then stops. I can hear it coming from down by my left foot. I have nothing in the box in the door. I put my foot against it so it is not moving, that I know. I haven't done anything down there lately. I would swear it is coming from that box by the emergency break. I have no idea what that box is, anyone know? I tried to reach down when the clicking was going on, but by the time I got maneuvered down there it stopped. That box is warm also. Anyone have any clue?

Thanks,
Shawn

There is a piece of insulation on the inside of the fenderwell (physically right in front of your left foot) that you can touch with the driver door open through the jamb. Mine has come loose and clicks a lot now, I will need to do some disassembly to fix it.

Mine did that for a while until I undid the battery cables to work on something else. Never came back. You can try it. I think mine was just that the computer needed a reset. Good luck and let's hope it is something simple.

Big hamster. Actually I have a ferret. I figured it out. My truck has a dual exhaust. The original owner had it put it. He ran the emergency brake wire on the outside of the leaf spring to keep it off the exhaust. I had tie wrapped it to the leaf spring to keep it from rubbing on my tires. Apparently when the spring fluctuates it pulls the wire and makes it thump the emergency brake pedal. Go figure.

Cheers
