smoke from intake

i started my truck to move it to the garage, then shut it off and took the filter off to clean it, when i did white smoke, not really smoke more like vapor came out of the tube that goes to the compressor wheel, is this normal? it made me nervous

If you have not done the CCV yet I would be its just oil haze coming from that.

I was thinking the same thing. Since the ccv goes right in before the turbo wheel, that smoke/haze you saw is just oil. No worries. Do the ccv mod and you'll see that haze from the hose when you reroute it. And say bye bye to those oily intake boots.
