I pulled the fuel pump out of the block and need the square cut o-ring that seals the shaft to the block. Ford has no idea what I am talking about. The o-ring that they gave me is a regular round style and is too small for the space its going in. Do I have to get a new pump just to replace that o-ring? I tried dieselorings.com with no luck. Any help is appreciated. The truck is apart now and I need to put it back together. I tried to post pics but they wont go through. I think I need to change the format of them but I don't know how.
the new pumps come with a round o-ring, if yopu have a local hydraulic shop see if they can match something up, it doesn't seal any pressure so it dosent have to be perfect.
