2010 or 2011?

Trying to decide if I should get a 2010 now, with all the incentives and discounts plus the fact that it has been produced for several years (with all the bugs worked out), versus a 2011 with its cool new look, features and power. If I got a 2010 I would probably chip it and do the DPF delete.

If I decide to go 2011, I would probably have to wait at least a year to get a decent price and feel like the bugs were worked out.

Opinions?

Gas engines wouldn't have a DPF to delete.

Well if you NEED a truck now, get the 2010, there is nothing wrong with the 6.4. I recently purchased mine and am very happy with it!

If you can wait for better deals on the 2011, and don't NEED a truck now then if I were you I would wait.

I needed my truck in December. Also I will never again buy the first year production of anything! (I had a bad experience in 2003, not with a Ford though).

I think that if you absolutely needed the truck now you wouldn't be posting your question, you would have bought your truck. So it sounds like you are already leaning toward the 2011, if that is what you want you should wait for the 2011. Or! Just get one now anyway!

I tend to agree with 03silver. If you need one right now that get a 2010, otherwise I would wait as long as you can.

The incentives that are being offered on the 2010's were too hard for me to pass up. I bought mine in Feb. Like 03silverTJ, I also have a policy of NEVER buying the first year of a new model or engine.
