engine paint ideas
anyone with any Green/Black or Red/Blue engine color combos care to post up for checking out your gallery or a link on the web?
I have my engine almost ready to clean and paint, I like the grabber green and black gloss combo
I also just saw a chevy red and ford blue combo that I like.
any good photos for ideas?
Also any tips on how or what to pain a set of rusty headers with? the ceramic stuff I just looked at orillys was "bake on" I see no way to run the engine and paint headers and I have no oven that will fit a header at 400deg. so I dont know how to go about painting them .. do people have good luck with BBQ or rustolium paint on used rusty headers I just want to make them match the engine and last as long as possible.

You would think in this day & age there would be a header paint that would last but all of it comes off in time. I have had the best luck with the VHT high heat. I think it was 1500*paint and I ordered it from Summit. Getting them coated is the way to go but even that won't last forever.

that is the stuff you have to cook on, engine is out of the truck and already assembled .. yea Im not worried about the lasting...mostly just the protection while I can give it
