Ticking after plug change

look for white or a light grey discoloration along the sides or bottom of the boot. Also look for any hair line cracks along the sides. Check the wire harness plugs and make sure that they are securely pluged into the coil. I doubt that you caused any internall coil damage or they wouldn't be firing at all hence wouldn't be ticking. If it is jumping fire bad enough you could always start the truck at nite, pop the hood and watch for the spark, if it's bad enough you'll see it. Keep us posted.

My front two cylinders were my problem

Had a brown looking dust all over the bottom of the coil pack boots right where they make contact to spark plugs. I was getting a ticking/swooshing kind of sound. Not sure why it was only the front two cylinders.
