My Excursion, almost new camping trailer and my Miata were all damaged in a hail storm yesterday afternoon I'm so bummed out! The Miata got the worst of it as the hood and deck lid are thin aluminum, I'm guessing at least 2k in damage - I have had this car for over ten years, it makes me sick just to think about it. I do not have full coverage insurance on it either. The Ex and the trailer are fully insured so they will be fixed after $1000 in deductables. The Ex is not too bad, broken mirror, vent visor things on all four doors are toast, windshield cracked, very minor roof and hood damage. I'm going to have to climb up on the trailer to check out but it does not look too bad -- fingers crossed!
You guys got hit pretty good. I'm a little south and west of you and didn't get the hail. My trailer got hit by hail last year when that tornado hit the Southlands area. I had the aluminum siding and not the fiberglass and that got the worst of it. We bought it back from the insurance and traded it in on a nicer one. My truck was spared any damage - I was able to throw a couple of moving blankets on the hood and cab roof right when the storm moved in and they absorbed the hail strikes. Good luck.
