Hello, i have a 1987 ford f150. It has the 5.0 EFI. 3 speed tranny with 3.08 Gears. So far i have put shorty headers, True Dual Glasspacks w/o cats, Crane Cams ps91 coil,Accel ignition kit, and K&N FIPK modified air filter. I Noticed A little difference in power but nothing to brag about and my mileage seemed to Be worse. Whats some more modifications i can make to get more power that works? I was thinking maby a Jet chip, underdrive pullys stuff like that?
3.08 gears? replacing those to at least 3.55's depending on what your tire size is will be a good start. do a search on here, plenty of SD compatible threads on here. don't waste time or money on a chip.
Your mileage could be down a little because of a heavy right foot.
Loose the KN intake. It just sucks in hot air anyway. I had one on my truck for a little while and my mileage was worse. My truck is MAF so the KN kit is a little different than yours, but the fit and quality of mine was lousy as well.
Also stay away from chips and TB spacers as well. They are all a waste of cash.
You could swap in an OD transmission.
What size tires are you running? You may want to regear the rear end.
