Passenger-side saddle tank.
I also have another question. I have an underdash toggle switch and a switch on the floor. I assume the switch on the floor actually switches a valve for the fuel, but what does the underdash toggle switch do? I'd like to remove the in cab tank and add a saddle on the passenger side and still be able to use the valve and switch.
If anyone has done this to their truck, I would like to see pics of the tanks and your exhaust.
Thanx in advance

If you happen to see a pair of saddle tanks, aftermarket companies used to offer them.
The filler cap used with aftermarket tank(s) is (usually) located behind a door that was riveted to the quarter panel (bedside), or (sometimes) located on the bed floor.
1967/69: The factory auxillary tank's filler cap is exposed, is located above the raised scallop line (bumpside).
1970/72: The factory auxillary tank's filler cap is exposed, is located below the scallop line.
Beginning in 1975, "high tech" arrived. These trucks use an electric solenoid and fuel tank selector valve assembly, which does away with the floor mounted valve.
There's a toggle switch located within the heater control panel. Flipping that switch changes the tanks and the dash gauge.
