And why would you want to take it over 4 grand. Quick disassembly methods manual?

Custom tuning can set the limiter anywhere you want it to be...but it's at 4k for a reason.

I have been over 4K more than once........several times on the Dyno as a matter of fact. 150K and still have all the original bottom end parts but one and it was still running when I pulled that one out 85K miles ago. That tune is in the "don't give it to anyone file".

the limit for good stock rods is somewhere above 4500. I've seen more than a few trucks run up to 4500. I've seen 4200+ in mine.

I have read about 1 that pushed 5K RPM. Chucked a rod on it's way home.

hahaha--scary as hell isn't it???? I've seen some of those old 4020 JD's with the mechanical injection pumps have a runaway. Only way to stop them was shove a rag in the intake and hope they ran out of air before they ventilated the block.

the first one scared me after that. its like emmm ok. turn key off. open door , get out, close door and walk away.
if it lives it lives, if it dies it dies.
