Buddies 2000 350 has the windows, ABS, overhead console and ESOF inop. Is the secondary computer (cant remember the acronym, not the PCM) the one that controls these things and is that a dealer only with a flash install? Thanks much
Think I found it after an extensive search. ECM. Thats what his mech. told him. I say an old post that AutoXone had them and they were programed. Does this check? If so, is it just a remove and replace?
Grant, I might be thinking GEM. I did a search and found a write-up in Feb 09 with reference to an ECM. I don't think his symptoms point to a PCM, as the truck runs just fine, he's having issues with the ESOF, windows (all) overhead console and ABS.
I called AZ and they knew what I was refering to when I said ECM. He needed the part # off the old one as there were 10 different numbers for that year truck. He also said it needed flashing. Maybe I'm doinked up in my thinking. Anyone else come accross this?
