Engine Questions
Blew a hole in my ebp tube, replaced it with a new one, did not replace the sensor, should i have replaced the sensor?
I have the turbo ???? when i get on it at around 70 mph, how do i get rid of that? Still have stock air cleaner system, thinking about getting the s&b from clay is that a good one? Along with a 4 inch turbo back exhaust?
What would be the reason for deleting the ebpv? Do i need to do this?
Where do i get a set of the aftercooler boots? Well think that is all that comes to mind right now!
ICP is the injection control pressure sensor which relays information to the IPR which is the Injection pressure regulator. Basically, the ICP tells what the rail pressure is. If yours is bad, your idle may be non steady, and the truck may not start. If you unplug it and the idle smooths out, the icp is headed south. Riffraff diesel has original FORD black CPS's which are known to be better than the replacement grey Ford ones because the grey ones give phantom codes and slightly rough idle on some trucks.

Unless you are getting codes I wouldn't worry about the sensor.

You have the turbo what? IF it is surge, you can get rid of it by using a different turbo housing, and/or a wicked wheel, which in reality is an Early 99 Compressor wheel. These may not completely eliminate surge but definately help alleviate it for the most part. I cannot speak on behalf of the S&B. I have the Ford Severe duty filtration for air, and it works great. 4" exhaust won't really do anything but make nice noises and decrease EGTS. It may help get a few hp and a little more torque but nothing major.

The reason for deleting the EBPV is to eliminate the 'restriction' and turbulence caused by the valve in the exhaust housing on the turbo. Some people also get rid of it because they don't feel the need for it or it sticks. If you are in a warm climate you 'could' delete it, but you don't *need* to get rid of it.
