ebay headers???
I see everyone or most everyone likes the banks headers for the 6.8L. Since money is always an issue and I have to replace the manifold studs....I might as well put on headers instead of stock manifold. Has anyone tried the headers off of ebay sold by speed-daddy? That is more in my price range. I don't want an exhaust that is too loud. A little louder than stock is fine, but I do plowing and carrying the family so I don't want it too loud.

Dude....
You're just in time... I installed The Speed_Daddy headers just a few days ago because of the same stud problem.... Check it out, hope it helps.

Do you have a link???
Headers typically will not make much of an increase in loudness, though they may change the tone of the exhaust....generally, without seeing the headers on ebay, I would suggest you get what you pay for...
Banks is for sure a few bucks more, but the quality may be 10 times better....

My ebay headers actually made the exhaust a bit quieter. The tone changed too, and I'm not sure about more power, but it seams like there's more 'seat of the pants' in the higher RPM range.
The downside: The headers are just plain noisy. Theres a distinct tinny-pulsing sound that I didn't have before. I'm considering header wrapping them to hopefully isolate the noises inside the pipes.
Also, you'll see by my thread there was some Frame clearancing required. If you're into Fabricating/custom automotive work it's no big deal, if not... you may want to look into some other brand.
Oh, and double check your truck/application to make sure the headers are or aren't EGR ready.
