16" x 6" / 17" x 5.5" / 17.5" x 5.25" / 19.5" x 5.25" wheels were optional.
Look around the valve stem area for an ID number, post what you find.
Need to get new tires. Last set were Uniroyal Laredo 9.5R16.5 LT M+S Load D.
If possible would like to get back to Original.
Looking for help decoding VIN F61CR844827, 1 1966 F-600 dump truck
481, color M, 71, axle G30, it has a V8, 4 speed trans and a 2 speed rear.
Thanks,
Mikeryan77
The VIN is as follows:

The other info you posted I can make sense of is color...M= Wimboldon white exterior paint
481= 4: Medium beige crush vinyl and medium beige wicker pattern vinyl.
81=81A= a standard model truck
the rest is where it gets confusing...first off...one medium and heavy trucks there is 2 axle codes...one for the front and one for the rear axle...
On the warranty plate below the warranty number..aka VIN is the 2nd line of codes...from left to right:
W.B.
Color
Model
Body
Trans
Axle
The next and bottom line has codes for the following from left to right:
Max GVW Lbs
Cert Net H.P.

Fill in the blanks so it can be completely decoded.

O = Ford Rockwell-Timken Front Axle / 9,000 lb. Front Axle Capacity.
I did forget the M/D on the engine...LOL..and the 71 for LA DSO...That scenario hadnt crossed my mind...I was going L to R on the tag in my mind as the codes were posted compared to how warranty plates are laid out.
- I did find the G3 though a cpl min. ago...btw..is the O a letter or the number zero ???

Parts catalogs are not infallible.
The OP said his truck has a 2 speed rear axle, what G3 decodes to.
We'll just have to wait and see what transpires.
I wish ppl would list the info in the correct sequence as found on the Warranty Plate (as you pointed out).
When the codes are topsy-turvy, catty wampus and some are omitted (as in post #4), it's a royal PITA to decode.
