Alright guys I'm back with some questions. I'm starting to take apart the motor for the rebuild but I have NEVER worked on a carburated motor and i was wondering what the hell is with all the vacum lines. There is also the black box that you can see in the picture above, you can't see it in the picture but lines coming from that thing go to a round thing and to what looks like a dam folgers coffe can. There is also a thing to the right of the carb. that looks like a pull cord for my fan which isn't connected to anything and i don't see where it could be connected. So can anyone tell me how to delete all those vacume components or explain what they are there for so i can get in with the build.
the pull cord is for the cruise control. mine looks pretty much just like yours lying there. lol. not sure about the coffee can mine has the same thing but i'm not sure what it is or what it does.
