Carb swaping
I've got a 1983 f100 with a 4.9 in er. I was considering putting a two barrel on from a ford V8 from around that year. Found the adapter I need for it. Is a swap like that just puting er on n tuning it or is there more complicated things I'm not considering. Also does any one know the cfm of those single barrel carters and the two barrels on the 302s.

Just off the top of my head, you will need to deal with fuel line routing, throttle cable - may need a custom cable, heat for the choke if it has a hot-air choke.
Also, if you have an automatic trans, you will need to deal with the kickdown linkage.
I have heard that the stock Carter YF carb is about 170 cfm.
