Be glad you didnt sit in a kingranch. I paid almost 3grand more for those seats. I dont think there was much more than that other than adjustable pedals which are worthless to me. Its like comparing your own bed to a hotel bed tho, the seat diffrence is AMAZING.
I would have gone with the KR, but dislike the two tone paint. My rig will have the adjustable pedals, which will come in handy when the wife climbs in and screws things up. Regarding the seats....all I know is the difference between my F150 XLT and what I ordered is AMAZING. Can't wait!!

I wonder why the lariat ultimate i looked at didnt have the pedals.. I thought it was KR only.
But as for the seats comment my friend just picked up a FX2 with leather. Seats are a big diffrence to my KR. What year XLT did you have?

F150 is an 03' SC FX4 with cloth interior and I should have mentioned in earlier posts that it has the 4.6, which by the way had been a great motor for me with never any problems. The new Lariat with Ultimate package includes everything on the KR, minus the standard two tone paint and interior colors.
After my post I did remember something else. I like the lighted steps alot more than the lariat ultimate too.
And the 4.6 in your truck was a great motor. Just VERY underpowered. Ford finaly started to realize that people want to be able to merge into traffic since the five hundred got killed and the taurus with the better motor came out.
But I've done a few comparisons between PSD and gas trucks(5.4L, 6.8L, 4.6L(!), 7.3L, 6.0L, and 6.4L), and I've yet to try a gas truck that won't muscle 10K up a 15% grade from a standing start.
Call me a fool, but I'd like to see some comparisons between an OLD SCHOOL 460(with REAL head ports, not the new stuff) and some of the above. I doubt many would argue the 460 isn't dependable, and parts are a LOT cheaper than most of the stuff above. I'm thinkin it might spank a v10 pretty seriously, for a lot less
$.
