remove left rear inner tire
Hi
I have a Ford Truck 1 1/2 ton from 1940 and now i must remove the tire.
The first outside was no problem but next.
Someone who know howe to do?
Remove the bolt with square , left threaded ?
Please give me tips

Yes, the square headed bolt is removed with a 13/16 wrench. It is threaded onto a smaller bolt that is attached to the drum. It had me confused for awhle aswell. I believe you turn them the same direction to loosen as the lug nut was. They will be pretty tight, atleast mine were, I broke 1 cresent wrench and bent 3 13/16 wrenches trying to get them off.

They do have a socket made for those 13/16" squares. I bought a socket at Napa that has both the 1.5" hex and 13/16" square all in one socket. Usually right side has a right hand thread and the left side has a left hand thread. An impact wrench really helps.

they are called ---cones and nuts--- the cone holds the inside wheel to lug. these are stamped on head with either--lh-- or--rh. left hand or right hand. pertains to thread direction. they do make a cone socket, available at most auto parts dealers, (napa etc)
