According to the wife, this mod is really easy to do. Just leave one of the barn doors open in the rear, then try to close the liftgate on it.
Here is the alternate version, with trash bags.......
Safelite is coming wednesday to install new OEM glass. The question is this, the Safelite guy asked me if I had "high-amp" glass or just normal. Of course I assume this refers to how many amps the defroster in the glass is going to pull. How do I figure which was original to the truck.....?
i didn't know you can close the glass without the doors closed. But then again leave it to a woman to figure that one out. :-)
Took me a while to figure this out but you can also open the two lower doors more than the 90° if you undo the little bracket in the frame. Very helpful if you are pulling a trailer and need to get stuff out of the back.

I have mine disconnected. I saw my neighbor struggling to get a coller in and show him. It's nice with them disconnected because it a lot easier to load and unload. And the doors don't hit the truck so its OK.

Well, I have a tool box on the front of two of my three trailers so it made it VERY hard to load the truck without the doors swinging out of the way.

That sucks bro!
Keep us posted on how you make out.
I did that mod myself onetime except I used the lawn mower. LOL
Some guys were asking over $600 just for the window. I got a used one from a junkyard installed for $250. Ouch!
