I have an issue with my EGR valve continuing to activate the check engine light due to excessive carbon build up. I have cleaned (several times) and replaced the EGR valve. Is there a way to clean the area surrounding the EGR valve without pulling manifold itself that can get rid if the carbon? Thanks in advance. I have watched several videos of the use if some type of spray into the intake that cleans the carbon buildup but dont want to destroy the engine as I have not seen it done on a Suoer Duty.

I don't know what video you found, but spraying any liquid (combustible or otherwise) into the intake on a 6.0 is a very, very bad idea. Really the only way to clean it is to remove it, and use an aluminum cleaner and pressure washer, or get it hot tanked.
That said, I've never seen an intake that can't be wire brushed and shop vacced through the EGR hole (maybe removing the intake horn also), unless it's to the point it NEEDS to be hot tanked. The MAP nipple is on the passenger side of the intake, if you're having to clean the valve multiple times that's probably a concern area. I pulled a 280k mile intake on an '03 other than scrubbing the valve the intake was fine, so maybe spend some time with a brass wire brush and a shop vac around the EGR hole first.
Use the crc intake valve and turbo cleaner turns everything to mush and shoots it right out super dutys will eat it just fine I do it to mine and it has yet to hurt it and it wakes it right up frees up the valves that are getting stuck from carbon build up I'm actually about to do it again on mine I've only ever noticed improvements to the entire system
