TURKEY Stories!?!?!
Lets hear them turkey stories...I know you guys have to be the hunting type.
I had a good morning! Killed two birds, one 23 pounder, one 21 pounder. Both had 11 inch beards. One inch spurs.

I'm back out in the morning with my cousin to find the big bird that keeps shaking the woods and sounds like his head is in a barrell. He is extremely raspy whick hopefully means big and old...

unfortunately, yes it is. We currently kill it and dress it on the tail gate, only cutting the meat off of the breast, placing it in a zip lock in the cooler. Our method of cooking is what rocks though...we cut it into strips, roll it in Kentucky Colonel batter and pan fry in about 2 inches of butter... beats the november recipe hands down!
