Ive got an 88 with a rust problem in the rain rails on the roof. Repair cost is outrageous, and I don't do bodywork, because I'll try it, screw t up, and then still have to pay someone to fix it. Anyone know where I can get a new roof? (Not the shell, metal part from top of windshield frame up)

What do you plan to do with a new roof? It'll take more bodywork to replace the panel than to just fix what you have, and cost less if you pay someone to do it. If you want the cheap way out, get a whole body tub & swap all your parts into it and drop it onto your chassis. That's what I did instead of a bunch of body work.

A new roof from ford only costs about 550, and the cutting and welding would run the cost up to about 1K altogether. This would include about 15 hrs worth of labor, as opposed to the 10 hrs it would cost to repair the rust, and either option is way cheaper than getting a new tub and rebuilding the whole truck and painting it/
