1999, F-250 Super Duty 7.3L, 102,000 miles, REGULAR maintenance; pull loads well below max, mostly interstate driving: I have to nearly stand up in my seat, while pushing down the clutch, to down shift after an hour or two on the highway. Often, when I exit the interstate, I must turn the ignition off to get the truck in a lower gear. My regular mechanic says that 4 other owners are having the same problem. Dealer just changes hydraulic oil..no help. Any help?
Mark's the auto tranny guy! not to say he wouldn't know about manuals also!
This is a handshaker Monsta !
oops! forgot you know all about them
You either have the slave cylinder gone bad or the center section of your pressure plate or clutch disc
bad also ,there have been reports of the pivot arm
for the throw out bearing bending ,there was a tsb on this for diesels I believe!

I didn't think you could change just the hydraulic fluid. The replacement slave from Ford comes connected to a new master and is prebled. If it takes that much pressure it sounds like a mechanical problem to me.
