We will see what happens, if i can get it to run i will keep it. it does not have a rear tail gate and i'm not to keen on 250's.... i like 1/2 ton trucks better
If that is the case, I'd bet that intake/carb is a wanted item by many in the Y-block fan club!
BarnieTrk
You betcha! The intake manifold alone is harder to find...today then hens teeth.
The 4V manifold was only used on 1957 Thunderchickens/Ford's with 292/312's and el cheapo 1958 Mercury Medalists w/the 312....ALL as an option.
1955's w/292's used the Holley "toilet bowl" 4V, the choke is mounted...are you ready for this...on the intake manifold.
1956's w/292/312's used a similar 4V Holley toilet bowl, the choke is mounted on the carb.
Intakes used with toilet bowls have a different carb bolt pattern, so cannot be used with modern carbs.
1000's of ppl swapped that manifold onto their 1955/56 Ford/Birds to get rid of those awful carbs.
btw: Some ppl call toilet bowls carbs "Teapots" but if you ever had one...you'd know why we called 'em toilet bowls, cuz...that's where they belong...in the crapper!
