Hey guys, I was checking my oil about 10 mins ago. I went to close the hood and and there was a loud pop. The hood wouldn't go down on the drivers side. I had to remove the hinge just to close the hood. My question is where can I get another one? What year ford truck hinges will fit my 62 Unibody? Im hoping I can get lucky in the junk yard with a different year. But if not, where can I buy a new one?
Thanks in advance
Donnie

There's a lot of junkyards in the Central Valley, so you shouldn't have too much trouble finding one of these trucks.
FTE member camperspecial65 prolly has some, but...he lives in WA
I do have some singles...one other thing to remember...NOS hood hinges are WITHOUT the spring....not an easy sucker to load either without proper equipment.
Well, I finally got around to installing the drivers side hinge on the truck, only to find out that the passenger side hinge is very, very week. At the moment it does its job holding the hood up, but im on the hunt for a passenger side one now.. such is life when you play with old trucks I guess lol.
Been quite awhile ago the topic came up and member mentioned using a bench press to reset the hinge pins, guess it could not hirt if intend replacing. Imagine it's a matter of determining how much pressure to apply, assume oh sooo slightly. Occasionally seen them on ebay but hesitant; never can tell how long they will hold up, or their condition, perhaps if seller offers a return policy.
