sputtering 6.0

Just got my truck back from the shop..sent it in for a sputter at heavy throttle. It was in a few months ago an got a new FICM but this last go round it got a new EGR valve, new cold air charger, and got the Turbo cleaned...ran like a top for a few days but now has the same sputter at heavy throttle. It seems to do it worse when its cold but still does it somewhat when warm. Its not throwing any codes that I know of..any ideas what could be causing the sputtering? And any fix ideas or things to try? Any input helps. Thanks

Immediate suspicion is fuel starvation.

When is last time fuel filters changed?

Have you tested fuel pressure?

Oh.. never hurts... do a master reset as per link below..

There is a fuel pressure test port behind the small filter on top of the engine.

You got to have the right adapters and a gauge.

Did they change the filters at that service?

Yes I changed all filters when I did the service...is it possible to have codes without a check engine light on..and if so how do I retrieve those codes..also could it be an issue with my HPOP?

to check the hpop you would need to look at ipr, icp, icpv to start with. did you take it the dealer or aftermarket shop?
most aftermarket shops do not have the ability to diag alot of the simple things like what injector is droping out with out a code. also if they are dont have that ability then they are tossing a part at your truck based only on a code anway.

odds are you have an injector droping out, odds are its not pump related.

I took it to the dealer...it ran like a champ for a day or two then started sputtering again at heavy to full throttle...its not rhythmic either it will spit for 5 seconds or so and smooth out for a second then go back to sputtering...really frustrating

on the right valve cover is the icp sensor. its got 3 wires and is the only one there. disconnect it and go for a drive and see if it goes away. It will set a code so you will have to clear that when you are done. if the issue goes away suspect icp sensor/connector concern.
may not be it but easy to try.
