92 F150 Trans Question
Okay well I think I finally killed it. Was getting hard to get into 1st and 2nd. Drove it to work yesterday. Went to leave work no 3rd or 4th feels like your shifting air.
Now my question is the only one I have found is a mazda built trans out of an 89 will that work? Also told the zf trans won't work for me. Any input would be great.

If your old one was a 5-speed, it is likely a Mazda unit as well. M5OD is the common term around here. Just replaced mine (leaked almost all the fluid out the leaky rubber plugs). Right that the zf won't work. I could find zf trannys here but not the M5OD. Went on line to get mine.
