Nut Size?
Heya there guys n gals.
I am wondering if anyone knows, or could possibley measure the nut size for U bolts (I think they are U's anyways) that go around the rear diff? Were they fine thread too?
I would like to install my airbags this weekend, and am going to need to buy new ones, and I didnt drive my truck to work today, so I cant measure them, and forgot the paper at home that I had written the size down on!

Not sure what to tell you on this Sheldon. I think it may be metric. I only have a few misc. smaller metric taps so I cannot verify this but I used my thread pitch gauge and the #12 fit perfectly. Then I measured it and it measure right at 0.625 which is 5/8". But, my taps are either 5/8-11 or 5/8-18. No metric nuts big enough to test that theory either. Good luck and hopefully someone will chime in.
