My alternator died while driving and drained the battery, I replaced the alternator and recharge the battery, but the battery light stays on does it have to be reset if so does anyone know how.
To prove what Shorebird just said, hook up a volt meter to the battery and note the voltage. Then start the truck and the voltage should climb to 14 volts or so.
