hello

Hello to all, newbie here. I'm also a member of F-150online. I am a Ford Truck Enthusiast and including all other models of Fords. I just sold my 91 F-150 so right now I'm truckless and on the hunt for a fuel efficient ranger with a 5 spd in it. I need this because I go to college which is aways away from here. Just saying hello to all, See ya!!

hello

Tks guys,

I hope I can find a good desent ranger for me. I hear that the 2.3L 4cyl mated to the 5spd is an excellent combination.

Edited by administration
and still have good economy. Tks again guys!

Please read posting guidelines.

hello

WELCOME !! My 2002 xl w/ the 2.3l & 5 spd. is a great small truck. It is a world of difference from the F150 but still a good deal of fun. It has just enough power but not so much that I would kill myself & the mileage is pretty good at 27-30mpg. The only reason I am planing on going back to a full size is the interior room. There is just not enough room for my daughter & dog at the same time.

hello

I think the perfect engine for a Ranger is a V6, based on many years driving a Taurus Wagon. IT's mileage is phenominal...

But anyway, welcome to the fun house!

I have to agree :-) my 2.9L gets about 17mpg. She's going to turn 13 and hasn't had the first engine problem yet.
