autometer water temp gauge..

I've received my dual gauge pod and gauges and now I am ready to do the install...

I know where to hook the tranny temp gauge in, but not sure where to hook the water temp gauge. I think I read that you use a freeze plug and just replace it with the sending unit for the gauge.

Can anyone tell me where this would be??

Using a freeze plug seems like alot of trouble to me !why not tee in right where your idiot gauge is ?

On the 5.4 v8 I used a 1/2 inch plug in the water crossover tube ,look for something like that rather than a freeze plug!

Brian, I did a tech article on this. chk it out. There is a plug on the frt top side of the intake that works out well.

Great Tech article... Thanks for the help. I'll let you know how it turns out.. I'm starting to wish that I had gotten a 3 gauge pod so I could add the oil temp gauge. Would you recommend it?

Bryan, I think you're covered pretty well with the wtr temp gauge. If your oil temp rises your wtr temp will come up proportionately. Good luck with the install.
